I am an avid home baker and passionate "foodie" with a flair for entertaining on a budget. Parties are all about the food, aren't they? I am a talented cake decorator, having completed several courses through Wilton Industries Inc., and McCall's School of Cake Decoration in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Beyond the kitchen, my other interests and hobbies include knitting and crocheting, sewing, and gardening. I am also a lover of all animals, and a volunteer with Toronto Cat Rescue. I am currently owned by two wonderful cats, one of whom was adopted from the Toronto Humane Society.

My interests in writing date back to middle school, when I had several original poems published in an anthology for young writers. More recently I have been writing business copy for marketing material, websites, and letters in addition to my freelance pieces for Suite101.

Feel free to also visit my personal homepage to read about all things cake!
